Truck Accident Lawyers
According to the 2017 Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles Annual Report, there was an average of 1,098 car accidents every day in the State of Florida. In 2017 alone, there were 254,310 people injured and 2,924 people killed in motor vehicle accidents. Many of these devastating accidents involved large semi-trucks transporting merchandise, materials and other items on our roadways.
Trucking Accidents
Trucking accidents are similar to regular car accidents but they typically involve a semi-truck or other large vehicle transporting items throughout our state. Obviously, when one of these huge vehicles is in an accident with a normal car that is typically a small fraction of the weight of the truck, the results can be catastrophic.
Trucking Companies May be Responsible
These trucks are owned by trucking companies who are responsible for ensuring that they have safe drivers using their trucks and that appropriate regulations and laws are being followed by the drivers as well as the trucking company. Truck drivers receive special training and licenses to help ensure that they can drive these enormous vehicles in a safe manner on our roadways. Despite this, truck drivers can still drive carelessly which, due to the size of their vehicle, is far more dangerous than when a regular driver is careless and causes an accident. Trucking accidents can very often result in serious injuries and even death.
